news: Ashley Wilkes joins to further ITP's rail offering
Friday 12th January 2024
Ashley is joining our Public Transport Team to further our rail offering to potential clients. Since graduating with an Economics and Politics degree from Lancaster University in 2014, Ashley has worked for both Network Rail and West Midlands Trains.
During his time at Network Rail, Ashley worked on ensuring that various infrastructure enhancements schemes delivered benefits to the operation of the railway and passengers. Schemes Ashley worked on included Kings Cross Remodelling Project, Werrington Junction Dive Under and the East Coast Main Line Route Study.
At West Midlands Trains, Ashley was the architect behind the December 2022 and May 2023 timetable changes for West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway which were designed to simplify the operation and deliver a more consistent offering for passengers.
Ashley is hoping to take this experience and put it into practice in helping both public and private sector clients on rail operations or wider rail strategy projects.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys walking his dog, playing and watching golf and supporting Chester FC. Who he assures us will be getting promoted this year!
