news: Double award win at the Nottinghamshire Business Awards
Tuesday 17th September 2019
ITP was delighted to be recognised for its 'Excellence in International Trade' and selected as 'Business of the Year' by the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce at the Nottinghamshire Business Awards.
For the past 21 years, we have been providing practical, deliverable and lasting solutions to help address mobility challenges worldwide. We genuinely want to make the world a better place to live in, whether that is through encouraging people to make healthier and more sustainable transport choices, putting together robust and evidenced-based business cases to secure funding to unlock sustainable development, or designing public transport systems to help relieve congestion, reduce poverty and improve mobility in major developing cities which are experiencing rapid economic growth.
Our international portfolio has seen us work in over 30 different counties for multilateral development banks (including World Bank, African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), national governments, local authorities, major bus operators and private sector developers, to provide transport planning advice on major public transport projects and sustainable transport policies. Some of our most recent projects have included:
- Advising on the introduction of a BRT route in Karachi, Pakistan
- Developing a Public Transport Masterplan for Chittagong, Bangladesh
- Understanding connections between gender and transport inequality in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
- Building a data visualisation tool to help understand transport modelling outputs for the Eastern Area Partnership countries (eastern Europe)
- Conducting a Transport Governance Study in Freetown, Sierra Leone
On the night Colin Brader, International Director said...
“Do you know what, this is incredible, Business of the Year! We go out there and try to make a better place, we do lots of work, we suffer, we work hard. Business of the year, little old us from Nottingham, incredible, fantastic, so, so proud"
